    Kazam is an electric vehicle (EV) company located in Bengaluru, working to create an ecosystem in the EV space. We aim to provide a Super App for all EV charging needs, an agnostic ERP software for organizations to manage charging hardware, and create micro-entrepreneurs who can own plug-and-play charging stations.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Hardware Engineer at Kazam in Bengaluru. The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for hardware development, circuit design, electronics hardware design, and computer hardware. They will be working with cross-functional teams to develop and test hardware prototypes, identify and debug issues, design schematics, and board layouts, and contribute to the development of manufacturing infrastructure.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Design, development and testing of new hardware products.

    2. Maintaining, upgrading and adding new features to existing products.

    3. Schematic and BOM creation for new and existing designs.

    4. PCB layout design for power electronic systems.

    5. Analyze the design with simulation tools and calculations to verify its conformance to the requirements.

    6. Documentation.

    7. Developing SOPs for hardware testing.

    Skills and Experiences:

    1. Good at Schematic capture and PCB layout design for mixed-signal & high power boards (Cadence, Altium, Eagle, etc.)

    2. Strong fundamentals in analog and power electronics design.

    3. Experience in electronic circuit design/development with microcontroller-based embedded systems.

    4. Good knowledge of inter-module communications protocols (I2C, SPI, etc.)

    5. Strong documentation and communication skills.

    6. Experience with working with multi-layer PCBs.

    7. Strong knowledge of power electronics and experience with designing AC-DC converters.

    8. Strong understanding of EMI/EMC and PI.

    Software Skills:

    1. E-CAD software – Altium/Autodesk Eagle/Allegro.

    2. Circuit simulations & modeling software like MATLAB, LT-Spice/Mindi/Orcad SPICE, etc.

    3. Ability to write basic C/C++/Assembly codes for sectional hardware testing.

    4. MS Word & and Excel for documentation.

    Qualification:

    • BE / B.Tech / ME /M.Tech in Electronics/Computer Science or allied fields.
