    **Job Description:**

    The R&D Engineer will play a pivotal role in improving existing SKUs and ensuring the development of innovative and cost-effective products for Wonderchef.

    This role demands strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration and in-depth research to deliver high-quality products that enhance Wonderchef's value proposition.

    **Key Responsibilities:
    1. **Quality Enhancement**
      • Evaluate existing SKUs to identify opportunities for better engineering, improved design and enhanced value proposition.
    2. **Competitive Research and Product Alignment**
      • Understand competing products in different categories and work on development of winning products for the brand.
    3. **Cross-Functional Coordination**
      • Work closely with the in-house product development, sourcing team and vendor factory engineering teams to ensure seamless product execution.
    4. **Vendor and Supplier Management**
      • Work closely with vendors to improve quality and processes from raw material sourcing to final QA and all processes within.
    5. **Cost and Margin Management**
      • Develop and execute strategies to reduce product cost and improve margins. Track commodity pricing trends and make data-driven decisions for cost efficiency.
    **Qualifications & Skill Set:**
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Industrial
    • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    **Experience:**
    • 5 to 8 years of experience in vendor development, sourcing and procurement, with a focus on consumer durable products.
    • Must have worked in a similar role in a related industry.
    • Experience in one of the e-commerce platforms developing vendors and private label would be an asset.
