TechnicianPackaging will be responsible forthe maintenance of all the equipment of the packaging sectionof
the plant in the shift to ensure the smooth operationof the equipment. This includes diagnosing packaging
equipment problems troubleshooting repairing complex (minor/majorbreakdown of highspeed equipments)
electronicallycontrolled packaging palletizing equipment and related systems.
Primary responsibility is to
ensure that the packagingline functions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities (notlimited to)
1. To follow all the safety and compliancepolicies/procedures/systems of the company (C.A.R.ECommit
Access Recognize Encourage) program.

• To commit comply support the Simplot Sustainability Strategy andwork towards achieving the

sustainability targets of thecompany.
3. To follow all personnel and process safetyguidelines while attending all kind of jobs in theshift.
4. To be responsible to execute predictivepreventive and breakdown maintenance jobs of packaging
equipment as per instructions of shift team leader.
5.To get the work permit authorization by the shift team leaderbefore starting any maintenance job.
6. To execute andcomplete preventive maintenance schedules on time for smoothfunctioning of all packaging
equipment.
7.Responsible for troubleshooting all kinds of mechanical electricaland instrumentation malfunctions and
breakdowns as wellas performing repairs.
8. To attend & resolvethe assigned maintenance job of packaging equipment within thestandard time limit
set by the company i.e. TFFR TimeFor First Response OEE.
9. Responsible for optimizingefficiency of packaging section by adjusting machinery andequipment settings
mainly VFFS machines multi headweighers elevators conveyors pick & place system case makermachine
case packer machine printers bar code detectionsystems metal detectors defect analyser (Camera)
windingrewinding machine etc. 10. To control downtime by informing production team ofroutine preventive maintenance techniques and
monitorcompliances.
11. To remove defective parts bydismantling machines using hoists cranes power & handtools.
12. To determine changes in dimensionalrequirements of parts by inspecting used parts using measuringscale
callipers micrometres and other measuringinstruments.
13. To fabricate repairable parts by usingmachine shop instruments and equipment.
14. To documentmechanical service records.
15. To fill and submit theshift log sheet to the shift team leader with details ofmaintenance jobs handled
during the shift spare partsused time spent on each maintenance activity reason for stoppagesetc.
16. To brief the highlights related to maintenancein packaging section in the shift to the shift teamleader.
17. To complete or handover the maintenance jobscarried out in the shift. Should leave the duty only afterthe
handover of work responsibilities is done to thenext shift.
18. To attend and contribute in the shifthandovertakeover meetings between the team leaders along withthe
maintenance crew at the end of the shift.

• To actively participate in different programs trainings& initiatives taken by company from time totime.

20. Ensures proper food safety sanitation andcleaning procedures of all processing equipment andtools.
