    Description

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with various users and technical staff to gather the appropriate information for the intended audience of the documentation. Coordinate timing to be on present for observation and documentation of build processes.
  • Researches and translates complex technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents.
  • Determines appropriate sequence and presentation of material.
  • May document engineering processes, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Perform desk top publishing on translated manuals to ensure formats, indexing, page counts, and revisions are consistent with English manuals.
  • Utilize Solidworks to create 2D images from existing 3D models. Utilize Adobe Photoshop to modify photo-documentation as required.
  • Work leadership may be provided by assigning work, resolving problems and updating company guidelines to reflect current practices.
  • May work on several projects concurrently and prioritizes as necessary.
  • Ensures terminology is consistent with applicable documentation.
  • May operate dispensing equipment and software programs to accurately document procedures and capture screen shots for manuals.
  • Determines graphics needed for manual or assembly procedure and coordinates graphic requirements as required.
  • Determines if software/hardware changes impact other documentation/help topics and makes or recommends revisions as necessary.
  • Writes and submits Change Tickets (engineering change requests) as required to implement production process updates or component replacements.
  • Supports modifications to documented assembly processes as required to ensure clarity for production line personnel.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.
  • Education and Experience Requirements

  • Requires an Associate's degree and a minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience executing the above listed responsibilities.
  • Requires extensive experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Experience developing pictorial based assembly documentation for capital equipment production environments
