    Description

    Position: Head of Production Heavy Engineering Fabrication

    Company Overview

    Our client is a renowned leader in heavy engineering and export with over 50 years of industry excellence and a turnover exceeding USD 100 million. The company operates state-of-the-art facilities including Ferrous Foundry, Machine Shop, Heavy Fabrication & Assembly, and Design & Engineering.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Minimum 15 years of heavy engineering fabrication production experience excluding structural steel.
    • Current position: GM/AGM/DGM or higher in a heavy engineering fabrication plant.
    • In-depth knowledge of fabrication equipment, blueprint interpretation, materials, welding processes, and documentation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategies to execute production activities and meet organizational goals.
    • Oversight of scheduling for timely delivery and optimal resource utilization.
    • Achievement of production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Implementation of quality control measures to minimize defects and rework.
    • Development and implementation of strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Identification of cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
    • Analysis of production data to identify improvement areas.
    • Initiation of process improvements based on data-driven insights.
    • Training, mentorship, and management of production staff for a high-performing team.
    • Promotion of continuous learning and professional growth.
    • Collaboration with engineering and quality control teams to streamline processes.
    • Adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversight of maintenance schedules for equipment efficiency.
    • Recommendation and implementation of technological upgrades.
    • Building and maintenance of strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
    • Negotiation of contracts to secure favorable terms and reliable supply chains.
    • Preparation of detailed production reports for senior management.
