    Position operates in a structured environment. Defined guidelines & boundaries influence the incumbent's day-to-day job. This function would require very good understanding of the Servers & Application architecture. His function would require excellent knowledge of Servers & Application Administration. Maintaining focus, discipline and strict adherence to all defined standard procedures related to NOC operations within the Team. Work in conjunction with the other teams in the NOC. Key Responsibilities include support and resolution of incident utilising network management systems.

    Accountabilities:


    • Team Management in day-to-day network operations and managing resource issues for shift based activities.

    • Making sure that servers & applications are up every time with 99.999% uptime.

    • Performing resolution and technical support for incidents, prioritization of tasks and incident.

    • Provide information and propose additional network monitoring, and improvements to fault troubleshooting, system recovery and other network operation tasks

    • Extend high-end technical support on various servers/application and ensure prompt resolution of queries put forth by internal / external customers, thereby maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.

    • Monitoring development activities and reporting project progress. Delivering and implementing the project as per scheduled milestones.

    • Key responsibilities include support and resolution of incident utilizing network management systems

    • Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and monitoring the network problems related to servers & applications.

    • Depth knowledge of Capacity, Incident, Problem, Change, Performance, Process & Compliance Mgmt

    • Proficient in managing, maintenance & expansion of core network and services

    • Understanding of Hardware and software Knowledge of Juniper, Nokia, Cisco, F5, DELL, HP etc.

    • Monitoring of network node utilization/capacity KPIs/signaling links utilization & control

    • Strong partners management for core critical outage RCA, BUG fix, SW upgrade & design improvement

    • Responsible for DOT compliance implementation & facilitate network audits along with finding closure & ensure systems compliance with BISP.

    • Conducted performance and stress testing of the network and security components to ensure effective information systems security.

    • Responsible for designing, automation and Implementation of new work flows to improve service and network KPIs along with customer services experience.

    • Network optimization, Traffic/Trend analysis & SOW

    Technical Skills:

    • With at least 10-15 years of experience in server/application management & operation.

    • Operating System: Windows, UNIX, Linux, Solaris, HP Unix & VMware

    • Servers: All Technologies . IBM, HP, SUN Midrange & High-end servers (Bare-Metal as well as Hypervisor-based)

    • Storage: All Technologies . IBM, HP, Sun, EMC Storages with knowledge of backup software & media libraries

    • Applications: Knowledge on administrating telecommunication applications ,. AAA, LDAP, PCRF, SRC, VTA, DB & Telecom EMS / NMS, Arbor, Netsweeper, DNS-F5/DNS-Infoblox/BIND, TWAMP-Accedian/EXFO, Vegayan PMS, URL Scan Tool. All Applications running services would be in scope of this role.

    • IT Security & Audit: DOT Compliance (. VA, UASL, MBSS, BISP
    Credentials:

    • Degree/High Diploma, related to telecommunications, computer networking or equivalent relevant experience.

    • Working experience in Operator/ Vendor /System Integrator desired. Working experience in L3/L4 support can also be considered

    • Good knowledge in network fault/performance/configuration management tools
