Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Lumber (Wood) Structural Design Engineer at Precision Precast Solutions.

• Conduct detailed analysis and calculations for lumber (wood) structures as per USA codes to assess the structural integrity, stability, and load-bearing capacity.
• Familiarity with the International Residential Code (IRC), International Building Code (IBC), ACI and the American Wood Council's National Design Specification (NDS) would be preferred.
• Familiarity with software like ENERCALC would be an added advantage.
• Preparation of calculation packages to satisfy client and USA codes code requirements.
• Manage multiple projects.
• Help the drafting team to prepare accurate and detailed structural drawings, plans, and specifications that effectively communicate the design intent and facilitate construction.
• Ensure all designs meet project and local specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering from a reputed college or equivalent experience
• 1 - 2 years' experience in structural design of lumber (wood) project
• Proficient communicator, both in written and verbal form
• Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering skills
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with precast concrete and steel structures is a plus
