    As a solution engineer, you will get a unique opportunity to blend your technical skills on the cloud with analytical problem-solving and consultative selling skills. You will be expected to work directly with members of the sales team on key selling activities including (but not limited to):

    • Discovery of the customer problems
    • Solution Design & Architecture
    • Proposal Preparation
    • Building Repeatable Cloud Solution Demonstrations
    • Performing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Technology (POTs) with clients
    • Delivering hands-on cloud computing workshops

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Your core responsibility will be to understand customer's business problems and help them use Oracle Cloud Services to solve them. You will be required to prepare, practice, evangelize and advocate the usage of Oracle cloud services to customers & partners. You will have opportunities to engage with a variety of customers from various sectors and industries (e.g. Telecommunications, Retail, Banking, Healthcare, Energy, Automotive, Government, and many others). As part of our customers' cloud adoption cycle, you will be expected to:

    • Deliver an outstanding customer experience remotely using digital tools
    • Deliver customer presentations & demos highlighting the value of Oracle's Cloud solution addressing customer's requirements
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise in Oracle PaaS and IaaS Services
    • Develop customer-specific value propositions highlighting benefits and differentiators of Oracle
    • Build and deliver compelling customer demonstrations, proof of concepts, and proof of technologies to contribute to customer success
    • Represent Oracle at online technology marketing and broader social community events
    • Collaborate on customer opportunities with Oracle Sales, Sales Consulting, and Product Management communities

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    Technology Skills:

    • Deep understanding of Public Cloud Solutions & IT market trends driving cloud demand such as Analytics, Data Management, Big Data, Next-Gen Application Development, Security & Manageability, Enterprise Integration & APIs, Content Management & UX, etc.
    • Understanding of Cloud Solution Design and Architectures
    • Experience in hands-on work with any industry-leading Oracle Cloud solutions.
    • Experience in developing, deploying, or migrating business applications to oracle cloud
    • A fundamental understanding of DevOps would be an advantage
    • Knowledge of Oracle technology solutions (database and middleware) would be an advantage
    • Experience of a customer-facing role (e.g. presales or technical support role) would be an advantage

    Customer Engagement Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex messages very clearly.
    • Openness to work with different languages & cultures
    • Ability to work in virtual teams: To get a specific job done can require working together with many colleagues, partners and customers
