    Summary

    A seasoned water chemistry & water system design professional with sound knowledge & exposure in water quality standards (international), purification technologies & process, ensuring water specifications for downstream process (like mixing ) and related aspects as applicable to an electro-mechanical system/device design. The position owns these areas for a new product development in dialysis domain.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    You work within the product design & development team and play key role in evolution of product design by supporting through water chemistry & water system design expertise for NPD of medical product to deliver the dialysis therapy.

    The key technical competencies include, but not limited to the following –

    Water Chemistry Expertise, Water System Design exposure, Broad technical knowledge and technical decision management in multi-disciplinary environment (Electro-mechanical development, Risk assessment, V&V, Chemistry, Microbiology), Sound knowledge within regulatory requirements and processes applicable for system fluid management, System compliance and risk management. Knowledge of Water quality standard ISO 23500 series.

    You acquire the baseline knowledge on the product concept and the exploratory work done, and take it forward to NPD path working with other NPD team members & stakeholders to meet the desired outcomes.

    You ensure that at every stage of the flow path from feed water to the purified water the desired specifications are achieved. You design and perform the required testing, analyze the data and turn around to obtain the desired product/process within stipulated time.

    Leverages knowledge of technology, process, and/or therapy domains to drive solutions and product design realization from a systems perspective.

    Participate in identifying and planning tasks, activities, and resourcing needs related to his/her area.

    Soft skills to effectively work in a cross-functional team environment.

    Desirable:

    Awareness of medical device standards IEC series.

    Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record to possess expert level technical competencies stated above.
  • Able to guide a team of juniors in these areas to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Must possess sound knowledge of systems engineering principles as applicable to his/her area.
  • Working knowledge of Product development processes, Standards applicable to Systems Engineering and relevant documentation to be generated.
  • Proven ability to create results within budget, timeline, and product/project deliverable.
  • Education and/or Experience:

    A bachelor's or higher engineering degree in Chemical engineering, Water/solution processing or related discipline with overall 15-18 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in Medical/Renal device domain is a plus.
