Senior GIS Developer – AI & GIS Tool Development

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and advanced GIS tool development.
The role involves designing intelligent geospatial systems, building AI-powered spatial analytics solutions, automating GIS workflows, and developing scalable enterprise GIS tools.
The ideal candidate will bridge Geospatial Technologies and AI Engineering to deliver next-generation spatial intelligence solutions.Key Responsibilities
- AI-Driven GIS Solution Development
Build spatial prediction models (classification, object detection, segmentation).
Implement computer vision techniques for Satellite, Aerial images, and LiDAR data.
Develop deep learning pipelines for geospatial feature extraction.
- GIS Tool & Application Development
Build scalable Web GIS applications and APIs.
Develop geoprocessing services and microservices architectures.
Optimize geospatial algorithms for performance improvement and output scalability.
- Technical Leadership
Mentor junior GIS and AI developers.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Product teams.
Define technical standards and best practices.
Document the tool requests and developments.
Educational Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in:
GIS / Geo-informatics
Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence / Data Science
Information Technology / Civil / Electrical Electronics
Preferred:
Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, Geo-informatics, or Data Science.
Required Experience
5+ years of GIS development experience.
1+ years of experience in AI/ML implementation in geospatial domain. (Optional)
Hands-on experience in developing enterprise GIS tools.
Experience working with large-scale LIDAR datasets and automation pipelines.
