    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our growing team at Feast. This is a pivotal role where you will drive critical architectural decisions and contribute significantly to the evolution of our platform.

    You will leverage your deep expertise in full-stack development to build and scale our innovative B2B employee benefit platform, connecting companies with talented private chefs.

    Responsibilities

    • Architectural Design & Implementation: Design and implement scalable, high-performance architectures for our mobile application (React Native) and backend services (TypeScript/Express).
    • Technical Leadership: Lead technical initiatives, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.
    • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
    • Complex Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
    • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal application performance.
    • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product, design, business) and communicate technical concepts clearly.
    • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the technical roadmap and strategic planning for the engineering team.
    • CI/CD & DevOps: Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and contribute to cloud infrastructure management.

    Required Qualifications

    • Extensive Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering, with a proven track record of building and scaling complex applications.
    • Deep Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in React Native and TypeScript/Express.
    • Architectural Proficiency: Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
    • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
    • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Cloud Experience: Strong understanding and practical experience with cloud services (AWS preferred).
    • Observability: Experience with performance monitoring and observability tools.
    • Security: Experience with security best practices when handling private user data such as IDs, bank accounts, and addresses.
