    Job title - Hydrographic Surveyor (Dredging)

    Job location - Pipavav-Gujarat

    Job Responsibilities

    1) Pre-Survey Planning:

    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.

    Plan and organize survey activities, taking into consideration the specific needs of the dredging project.

    2) Data Collection:

    Use various survey equipment and technologies to collect data on bathymetry, sediment composition, and other relevant parameters.

    Conduct hydrographic surveys to measure water depth and map the underwater terrain.

    Utilize geophysical survey methods to assess soil conditions and identify potential obstacles.

    3) Instrument Operation:

    Operate specialized survey instruments such as single-beam and multi-beam echo sounders, side-scan sonar, and GPS equipment.

    Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data collected through proper calibration and maintenance of survey equipment.

    4) Data Analysis and Processing:

    Process, analyze, and interpret survey data using specialized software and tools.

    Generate accurate bathymetric charts, maps, and reports to support decision-making during dredging operations.

    5) Monitoring and Quality Control:

    Monitor ongoing dredging activities to ensure alignment with project specifications.

    Conduct regular quality control checks on survey data to identify and address any discrepancies or errors.

    6) Safety and Environmental Compliance:

    Ensure that survey activities comply with safety regulations and environmental protection standards.

    Identify and report any potential environmental impacts or safety hazards associated with dredging operations.

    7) Documentation:

    Maintain accurate and detailed records of survey data, methodologies, and results for future reference and reporting.

    Prepare comprehensive survey reports and contribute to project documentation.

    8) Continuous Improvement:

    Stay informed about advancements in surveying technologies and techniques.

    Recommend and implement improvements to survey methodologies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of dredging surveys.
