    Description

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for comprehensively leading and optimizing the operations of various company owned operations for supply chain segments. This will include three key businesses currently – Car Carrier/Trailer business, ProTrucking Line Haul business and EV fleet operations (3/4W). The company is making a strategic shift towards self-owned fleet providing high-quality differentiated services across ICE and EV, and the candidate will drive this shift working closely with others on the leadership team.

    This executive role demands a strategic vision for delivering a clear value proposition, establishing nationwide fleet operations including driver support, procurement, yard operations etc. and unparalleled service quality throughout the fleet management lifecycle. The fleet based businesses serve all segments of supply chain and the incumbent will oversee P&L of the business with revenue expected to grow to around Rs. 1000 crore over 5 years. All critical functions, including driver recruitment and development, vehicle maintenance strategies, financial oversight, and the enhancement of customer service excellence will overseen by this role. The role will need expertise and leadership, to drive operational excellence and contribute to the overall growth and sustainability of the business.

    Key Deliverables:

    1. Focused implementation of key value proposition drivers: As the focus is on differentiated businesses, the leader is required to bring a strong mindset of innovation and transformation and ability to consistently embed the value proposition across all processes, leveraging technology, to ensure the activation of the CVP
    2. Technology Vision: The candidate will be required to work with the company's technology leadership to articulate a clear technology vision across all the life cycle. Asset management and sustainability
    3. Customer Service & Relationship Management:
    4. Monitor and refine customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure high service quality and satisfaction. Collaborate with key accounts to address service concerns, enhance delivery standards, and strengthen client relationships. Ensure seamless onboarding of new customers, managing pricing strategies to achieve targeted margins while balancing competitiveness and profitability
    5. Strategic Fleet Management:
    6. Lead the end-to-end operations and strategic management of the company's fleet, ensuring optimal utilization, vehicle uptime, and operational efficiency while aligning with business growth objectives. Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities for fleet growth, service diversification, and geographical expansion. Develop strategic partnerships that enhance the company's market position.
    7. Building Fleet capability through Recruitment & Development and vendor management:
    8. Oversee and design comprehensive recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training programs for drivers, ensuring top-tier safety standards and performance excellence across the fleet. Oversee relationships with vendors, service providers, and suppliers to negotiate favourable terms, ensuring uninterrupted fleet operations and cost-effective procurement strategies at multiple locations.
    9.  Service & Maintenance Excellence:
    10. Drive the management of service, repairs, and spare parts operations to guarantee fleet reliability, reduce downtime, and implement predictive maintenance strategies for cost-effective solutions. Lead ongoing cost-saving initiatives across fleet operations, incorporating data analysis, innovative technologies, and process improvements to reduce expenses and drive operational efficiency.
    11.  Financial Leadership & Cost Management:
    12. Own fleet-related financial outcomes, including strategic budgeting, expense control, and cost optimization, ensuring adherence to financial policies and boosting profitability through fiscal discipline.
    13. Legal Compliance & Regulatory Management:
    14. Ensure fleet operations are compliant with all legal and regulatory standards. Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and proactively address legal and compliance challenges. Lead swift and effective management of emergencies, disruptions, and unforeseen challenges to maintain operational continuity and mitigate risks in fleet operations.
    15. Organizational Leadership & Team Development:
    16. Provide visionary leadership to fleet operations teams, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive organizational development initiatives that align with corporate goals.

    Desired Skills & Competencies:
