    About Function/Department

    RMD - Results and Market Development represents the circulation arm of the organization. The RMD Department focuses on generating Sales and increasing readership for BCCL Publications The function begins from mail room packing and dispatch right up to delivering the newspaper to the reader. It is responsible for enabling more and better audience aggregation and for driving newer revenue streams from reader engagement. This is done by reaching out to different segments and expanding the horizons onto new ventures.

    About the Position

    Supervise smooth distribution for all dailies and magazines within budgeted costs, organize sales promotional activities in city and potential upcountry markets, monitor unsold, control costs, monitor timely billing and collection from Dealers to keep a check on outstanding, monitor maintenance of records as per ABC requirements with the objective of ensuring smooth distribution of all newspapers and dailies in Indore.

    Areas of Responsibility

  • To design and implement strategies (i.e., related to pricing promotion, combos, direct sales programs etc) in consultation with National Head-RMD for harnessing new ad-relevant reader groups with a view to improve readership and circulation within the branch.
  • Responsible for timely and efficient execution of circulation/distribution of publications as per defined quantity and value targets to all concerned readers/markets through identified intermediaries (i.e., vendor & dealer networks etc.) across the branch at optimal
  • Implementation of branch NIE initiatives
  • To track branch competitor activities and find ways to launch counter initiatives/strategies on a continuous
  • Responsible for continuous identification and implementation of innovative measures towards optimizing operational costs, controlling credit terms and other sales accounting initiatives within branch.
  • Maintenance of branch books as per ABC requirements to ensure that ABC certificates are obtained as per plan by the company.
  • To create a work environment within the branch team conducive towards attracting, developing, motivating and retaining the best talent.
  • Educational Qualifications Required

    Post- Graduate degree

    7+ years of experience
