    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Factory HR Head with a strong background in Industrial Relations (IR) to lead our HR function at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing IR issues, negotiating with unions, and developing strategies to promote positive employee relations.

    Key Responsibilities

    1 Strategic HR Planning

    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Conduct workforce planning, succession planning, talent development and unit HR and Welfare budgets.
    • Industrial Relations
    • Manage collective bargaining agreements (LTAs) and labour negotiations.
    • Manage IR issues, including negotiations with unions, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive employee relations and prevent IR issues.
    • Employee Relations
    • Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and engagement.
    • Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts.
    • Manage disciplinary actions as Certified Standing orders and performance improvement plans.
    • Recruitment and Staffing

    Oversee recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and hiring.

    • Training and Development
    • Design and deliver training programs for factory employees.
    • Identify development needs and create growth opportunities.
    • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate potential IR-related risks.

    Requirements

    Experience

    • 15+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proven track record in managing IR issues and negotiating with unions.

    Skills

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and IR best practices.
