Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with experience in Backend development to lead our team of Software Engineers.

The Lead Software Engineer - Backend will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the backend systems of our software products.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers in developing and maintaining backend systems using programming languages such as Java.
• Define and implement best practices for backend development including code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Work closely with frontend developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.
• Conduct unit testing and integration testing of backend systems to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and resolve defects in software products.
• Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
• Participate in Agile development process including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including design documents, API documentation, and user manuals.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Must Have Skills :

• Experience leading and managing a team of Software Engineers.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java

• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with cloudbased platforms such as AWS
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with API development and integration using technologies such as REST.
• Familiarity with software development tools such as JIRA, Git, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and processes.
• Experience in Microservices.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to information security policies and processes of organization to protect business data and assets.
• Understanding and reporting on information security risks using risk assessment and treatment methodologies for the impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business data.
• Understanding of systems configuration, hardening, patch management and deployment.
• Understanding of systems backups and restoration to protect the business data from any disaster events.
• Provisioning and deprovisioning logical access to information processing systems (such as network and servers) as authorized.
• Implementing appropriate physical and technical safeguards at network and computing systems level, to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of business data.
• Understanding and reporting on how business data is stored, processed, and transmitted by the organization and by thirdparty vendors (as applicable).
• Report actual or suspected security and/or policy violations/breaches to an appropriate authority.
