You will be working as Senior / Lead Engineer - Electrical for the Energy Division in Process Automation Business Area at the global grade 13, reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and this position will be based in Chennai and Banglaore, India.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing basic and detail engineering activities and provide optimized solutions for the electrical system in industrial projects.

Your responsibilities

• Preparing overall key SLD, Auxiliary AC/ DC SLD and protection SLD
• Designing calculations including transformer sizing (Power, Distribution and Converter), Battery and UPS sizing, DG sizing, VFD Sizing, earthing calculation, cable sizing, cable tray sizing, lighting calculation, lightning calculation,
• Preparing data sheet and specification for all equipment used in industries like transformer, GCB, bus duct, MV switchgear (Both AIS and GIS), LV Switchgear, Battery/ UPS system, VFD, DG set, cable, cable tray, earthing and lightning, communication equipment's
• Designing engineering equipment layout , section,earthing layout design, cable routing / cable tray layout, cable schedule & termination schedule preparation, bus duct layout, lighting layout, lightning layout, switchgear fixing arrangement drawing
• Developing Schematics for Control and Protection Panels, Synchronizing Panels, MV and LV Switchgears based on project specific requirement
• Developing of Block Logic Diagram for MV and LV Switchgear.Preparing engineering schedule in line with agreed document deliverable list, matching engineering portion of project schedule

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience as Project Engineer / 10 to15 years of relevant experience as Lead Project Engineer
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experince in large size projects as Project Engineer and 4 to 6 yeras of experince in large size projects as Lead Project
• Pre-Bid Engineering, Bid and Proposal Exposure is an added advantage
• Proficiency in using design tools like earthing, lighting calculation tools etc
• Basic Knowledge of power system study and network modelling preferred
• Working in a fast-paced environment with short submission deadline
• Strong technical leadership skills, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills
• Commissioning experience of electrical equipments is preferred
