Description

Responsibilities:

Checks incoming materials, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning nonconforming materials.

Checks in-process production by verifying specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests. Communicates adjustments needed to the production supervisor.

Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.

Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.

Monthly & daily reports should be maintained & circulated to relevant departments.

Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.

Must possess knowledge of finishing processes and the ability to establish acceptable color ranges.

A working knowledge of finishing processes and the ability to establish acceptable color ranges are required.

Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product.

Education and Experience Requirements:

ITI / Diploma / BE Wood industry experience would be beneficial.

Experience with measuring devices such as, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments

Should knowledge about ERP.

Should knowledge of Microsoft office/Excel/PPT
