Profile Summary:

Role & Responsibilities:
You shall perform following functions including but not limited to:
Leading the land acquisition and complete ownership of the acquisition process and meeting required compliances.
Identification of various state-wise land facilitators/ aggregators (LF/As) across various states, ranking them basis their resources, past performances and market feedbackPreparing RfPs and sharing the same with shortlisted LF/As for collecting project site related information and identification of potential area for development of renewable energy projectsScrutiny of various options for suitability for solar/ wind sites, site visits and presenting the findings to the management in a concise manner for decision makingNegotiations and appointment of LF/As and responsible for land acquisition as per agreementCharting land (Private / Govt./ Forest) acquisition process in the States of interest and updating it on a regular basis covering activities/ stakeholders/ cost/ risks.
Liaison with all Govt.authorities at all levels required/ involved in the land acquisition process and getting required permits/ approvals in a time bound manner.
Lead legal due diligence (LDD) and documentation with internal/ external lawyers and ensure clear and marketable title of the potential land before acquisition.
Assess potential RoW issues and ensure resolution through LF/As in a time-bound manner without impacting the project timelines.This also involves coordination and resolution of the legal issues pertaining to land acquisition, ROW and extend necessary support to other departments.
Participate in drafting, finalization getting execution of Sale/ Lease Deeds/ POAs and related documents, Memorandum of Understanding etc.Keep the Management informed by circulating MIS of Litigations, Notices, and legal compliances. Discuss and suggest the proper course of action considering the legal risk involved.
Technical Expertise:
understanding of land (Private / Govt./ Forest) acquisition and related process and State lawsunderstanding of land suitability and analysis for solar and wind projects
Qualification and Educational Requirements:
Significant experience in land acquisition involving (Revenue/Forest/Pvt Land) exploring potential site acquisitions, preparing valuation reports for acquisition, and holding negotiations to acquire land and property.
Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in Land procurement/ acquisition in at least 4 states in India for Solar and Wind Projects.
Having proven track record of land acquisition for large ISTS/ Utility based projects in potentials states especially Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
