- Develop Qualification Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive strategies for testing and qualifying network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and protocols.
- Test Planning and Execution: Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing activities to validate the performance, functionality, and compatibility of network systems and components.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and industry regulations throughout the network qualification process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, software developers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure alignment and integration of qualification efforts.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of test plans, procedures, and results. Generate comprehensive reports summarizing the outcomes of qualification activities and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in network qualification procedures. Implement best practices and tools to streamline testing processes and enhance overall effectiveness.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in network qualification methodologies and technologies.
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 5+ years of Software Engineer experience.
- 2+ years' experience of leading or managing a team of test engineers responsible for qualifying network infrastructure.
- Led or managed teams working on qualification of network devices, protocols, and features.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies, including Routing Protocols (BGP/OSPF), VxLAN, MPLS, QoS, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Experience with network testing tools and equipment, such as traffic generators, protocol analyzers, and network simulators.
- Hands-on ability to Architect, design, and oversee development & implementation of test automation.
- Hands on experience with Python.
- Strong Network Protocols, tools and troubleshooting experience.
- System test and Feature test planning, execution and automation.
- Resolving customer issues and handling escalations.
- Experience working in an operational environment with mission-critical tier-one services with associated oncall responsibilities.
- Experience with mentoring and growing engineers building network infrastructure.
