    Description

    Overview:

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Finance Associate. The Finance Associate will play a vital role in managing various daily tasks related to accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    - Manage daily tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank postings with accuracy and timeliness.

    - Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

    - Allocate and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate records.

    - Prepare and post payroll journals accurately and in compliance with established procedures.

    - Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and deferred items.

    - Process accounts payable payments after obtaining necessary approvals from project managers or the Associate Project Manager.

    - Review the work of trainees to ensure the accuracy and procedures are followed properly and provide guidance and support as needed.

    Min Requirements:

    • 1 or more years of experience in accounting and finance
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or professional accounting certification from a recognised body
    • Fluent English communication

    Qualifications:

    - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field ACCA or ACCA affiliate would be an added advantage.

    - Previous experience in a finance or accounting role required

    - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, etc).

    - Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

    - Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

    - Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

    - Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
