Our client, a global product and innovation powerhouse specializing in e-commerce, fintech, advertising, mobile, content, and entertainment, is searching for a Vice President of Platform Engineering to lead their Bangalore engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the strategy, development, and operations of the company's core platform, including authorization and authentication systems.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the vision and roadmap for the platform engineering organization, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Lead a team of talented platform engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
• Develop and implement a robust platform architecture that is secure, scalable, and reliable.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of authorization and authentication systems.
• Champion best practices in platform engineering, including DevOps, security, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with product, engineering, and other business units to ensure the platform meets the needs of the organization.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for platform improvement.
• Manage platform budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years spent each in the last 3 organizations (demonstrated stability).
• Proven experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce and fintech principles.
• Deep expertise in platform engineering concepts, including scalability, reliability, security, and performance optimization.
• Experience with authorization and authentication systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into technical solutions.
• Passion for building high-quality, innovative software.
