    Description of the Role:
    We are seeking a product manager to work on the next generation of cloud-based, data-driven applications.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in influencing the strategy, and execution of key initiatives for a set of flagship products within the Financials Cloud suite.

    (S)he will identify and prioritize solutions to be delivered, provide functional specifications for the solutions, and take the solutions to the market following an agile, continuous-delivery methodology, and a dev-ops mindset.

    The candidate will represent the products to internal audiences (., product marketing, sales, and other field organizations) and external audiences (., analysts, customers/prospects, system integrators/partners, .


    Responsibilities for the role include:

    • Lead discussion with the management to gain insight into product roadmap, project assigned - its background, goal and scope. Ensure management expectations & delivery time-lines are clearly understood.
    • Liaison between Strategy/Customer/Management to understand customer business process and get a complete 360 analysis on the related requirements.
    • Formulate how product roadmap will help in acquiring new customers/market penetration by recording value proposition
    • Be creative in solutioning customer problems/requirements. Best solutions are always the simplest.
    Produce high quality design document with comprehensive and detailed solution analysis with focus on all core areas:
    Extensibility, Robustness, Backward Compatibility, Supportability, Exception Handling, Performance expectations/bench-marking, Upgrade plan for customers, Critical technology or product dependencies, Product resiliency (self-correction) and flexibility (user self-service feature),

    Cloud Operational Considerations:
    Recoverability and Restart ability, Opt-in options for the customer. Design should include definition of product use cases, wireframes and upstream and downstream impact areas

    • Uphold product quality to highest standards. As part of design it is very critical to document testing strategy that identifies the success/acceptance criteria for the project. Ensure that any test-ware is in line with focus of the enhancement, is tested with real customer use cases/data patterns and influencers.
    • Ensure the MVP definition is aligned with customer commitment in mind, and management sign off is received.
    • Collaborate with Dev team member on reviewing any technical solution document to ensure that it is aligned with the finalized solution approach
    • Work closely with Info-Dev team to create launch deliverables like New Feature Summary, What's New and TOI's
    • Deliver product functionality training to the internal development organizations (., Documentation, Quality Assurance, Demonstration Services, Customer Care, and other development teams), to other LOBs (., Support, Consulting, Partners/Alliances, Oracle University, and Sales) and to external entities such as Partners and Alliances.
    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Financial educational background like CA, ICWA, MBA (Finance) etc., is very much desirable. The successful applicant should have in-depth understanding of financial flows and business processes involved in finance management.
    • Tools, Software etc. Experience with integrated development environment such as JDeveloper desirable but not required.
    • Preferred coursework:
    Some combination of these or related: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Systems, Databases, Web Applications, Natural Language Processing, Algorithms, Robotics, Econometrics, Game Theory, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Business Strategy, Data Analytics and Decision Making

    • Other qualifications:
    Strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Knowledge of Web technologies, UI components, design patterns and best practices preferred.
    • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment and learn quickly.
    • Desire to work in a cross-functional, co-located team environment.
    • Demonstrate a broad understanding of Oracle technologies. Demonstrate a good understanding of data modeling concepts. Knowledge of effective and unique User Interface techniques/tools. Demonstrate an excellent understanding of standard word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.
    • You will be a financial functional expert capable of establishing relationships with many highly technical teams. You will be able to understand current and future technology and to identify opportunities for its use to benefit customers through discussions with developers.
    Knowledge of EBS Financials a plus

    Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution.

    Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

    As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

    Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel.
