    Role: Supply Chain

    Location: Ethiopia

    Job Description:

    Procurement Management:

    Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, equipment, and services.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance.

    Logistics Management:

    Plan, coordinate, and optimize transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

    Evaluate transportation providers, manage shipping routes, and track shipments to meet customer demand.

    Inventory Management:

    Develop inventory control policies and procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.

    Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

    Documentation and Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, trade laws, and industry standards.

    Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other supply chain documentation to facilitate audits and inspections.

    Supplier Relationship Management:

    Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and quality materials.

    Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and address any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

    Team Leadership:

    Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

    Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively.

    Continuous Improvement:

    Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and supply chain efficiency improvements.

    Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance the overall supply chain performance.

    Risk Management:

    Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions and ensure business continuity.

    Anticipate and address potential issues related to supply chain disruptions, geopolitical events, and economic changes.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

    Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry.

    In-depth understanding of procurement, logistics operations, inventory control, and supply chain best practices.

    Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
