    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Faculty of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor)

    SGT University is in search of talented Faculty Members with good research orientation for its campus. The position is for Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in the field of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences. The University, in its campus spread over 70 acres near Gurgaon, offers around 160+ programs in Medical and Non-Medical domains. It nurtures more than seven thousand students and is a hub of activities involving the nation's who's who. It is a part of a group spanning the fields of education and hospitality. The University employs close to three thousand people. The campus has accommodation for employees and hostels for students and offers excellent support facilities such as shopping complex, medical facilities, sports, entertainment and transportation. The campus is located less than 5 km from the Delhi border of Daurala and offers convenient access to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.

    Job Description:

    The responsibilities for this position will include some or all of the following:

    · Teaching : Facilitate student learning through research led teaching and effective instructions by developing course curriculum, course handouts, lectures, labs and presentations as per UGC/Council guidelines. Performance evaluations of student's learning for all assigned classes, using standard course outlines for each course's as a guide and play a significant role in reviewing of modules and programs as per the course guideline. Develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching i.e. through presentation, demonstrations, and tutorials. Regular reporting to competent authority about its compliance.

    · Research & partnership activities: To publish research papers with journals of repute with high impact factor, encourage and develop the innovative research activity in the UG & PG courses. Motivate the students to participate in various extra-curricular skilled programs, conferences and workshops.

    Connect with industry and govt. /non-govt. institutions to foster research/collaborations partnership & sign MOUs.

    • Consulting, projects & MDPs: To open up new revenue stream thru consulting assignments, projects & management development programs. To liaise with industry and govt. /non-govt. institutions to source Consulting, Projects and MDPs.
    • Student Advising: To be available to the students via email, phone, or personal conferences. The method of contact and hours of availability should be communicated to the office of the students. Act as a personal tutor for students, support them in maximizing the benefit of their time in SGT University and motivate them for the building of their career.

    · Service and cooperative extension: Schedule and conduct on-site clinical, internship, observation, field experience, industrial training as a part of course curriculum shall be guided.

    · Administration: To participate in departmental and faculty meetings, in addition to it they have to involve in all academic and research activities of the department along with other responsibility assigned to them.

    · University development responsibilities: To ensure and encourage the students for their participation in sports and other activities organized at departmental/faculty/University level. Further, to maintain the record of students participating in various activities and have achieved various rewards at different level.

    Expected Candidature for Assistant Professor:-

    REGULAR BNYS degree from a recognized university with state/central registration with 5 years

    teaching experience; BNYS with MD/ M. Sc. or Ph.D. from a recognized University; M.Sc. with Ph.D. 2 Years' experience; M.Sc. in basic sciences / Yogic Sciences with 5 Years experiences.

    Expected Candidature for Associate Professor:-

    REGULAR BNYS degree from a recognized university with state/central registration with 8 Years

    teaching experience; BNYS with MD or Ph.D. with 5 Years teaching experience; M.Sc. in basic sciences /Yogic Sciences with 10 years experiences; M. sc., and Ph.D. with 5 years experience.

    Expected Candidature for Professor:-

    REGULAR BNYS degree from a recognized university with state/central registration with 15 Years

    teaching experience; MD or Ph.D. with 10 years teaching experience; M.Sc. and Ph.D. in basic sciences /Yogic Sciences with 10 years experiences.
