    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a "Sales Head" in Mumbai. The Head of Sales will be responsible for managing a sales team, developing and implementing sales strategies, account management, and overseeing sales operations. The role will also involve analyzing sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

    Qualifications

    • Strong analytical skills to analyze sales data and market trends
    • Experience in account management and sales management
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets of over 5 Cr
    • Team management skills to lead and motivate a sales team
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
    • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
    • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
    • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
    • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
    • Directing a sales team, setting goals and targets, including tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
    • Handle high-level negotiations, sales planning, and promotion planning.
    • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

    Preferred Qualification

    • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director.
    • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
    • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
    • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
    • Demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
    • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

    Other attributes

    • A 75% or above marks in all academics
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
    • Previous track record of building a startup to IPO or exit state
    • Can work alone without team incase of any critical situation
    • No reservation of extended working hours, unplanned travel
    • Experience in the publishing or media industry is a plus
    • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
    • A voracious reader
    • Non smoker
