- Overseeing the acquisition of IT goods and services necessary for the organization's operations.
- This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, contract negotiation, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in IT procurement processes.
- The IT Procurement Manager works closely with various departments to understand their technology needs and collaborates with suppliers to obtain quality products and services within budget constraints.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with Internal and customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation
- Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and select vendors based on criteria such as quality, reliability, pricing, payment terms and delivery timelines.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts / SLA's for IT products and services, including software licenses, hardware purchases, maintenance agreements, and professional services.
- Ensure contracts are favorable to the organization in terms of pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Budget Management:
- Develop IT procurement budgets and forecasts in collaboration with finance departments.
- Monitor spending against budgets and take corrective actions as needed to ensure adherence to financial goals.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procurement policies.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve IT procurement processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Implement best practices and tools to streamline procurement workflows and decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and senior management, to understand their technology needs and priorities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on procurement activities, solicit feedback, and address concerns.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MBA (supply chain management/ Materials Management) , or a related field.
- Proven experience (5-7 years) in IT procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable terms and cost savings.
- In-depth knowledge of IT products and services, market trends, and vendor landscape.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
