Mandatory Skills:
Out-of-the-box ServiceNow agents, Flow Designer and orchestration patterns, Familiarity with ServiceNow as a strategic automation and ServiceOps platform.
Role Description Skills:
The ServiceNow Integration Expert will be responsible for migration, modernization of legacy workflows into a ServiceNow-led automation using IntegrationHub and RPAHub. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in ServiceNow automation capabilities, Workflow Data Fabric.
Implement automation through ServiceNow out-of-the-box spokes, Integration Hub, RPA Hub, APIs, scripts, while establishing governance and architectural standards in ServiceNow.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Workflow Data Fabric, Integration Hub, ServiceNow platform engineering
• 3+ years as a technical expert role using ServiceNow Workflow Data Fabric (WDF) and Integration Hub.
• Proven experience in ServiceNow Integration using Integration Hub, RPA Hub, WDF.
Key Responsibilities
1. ServiceNow Integration
- Define and govern the ServieNow Integration using:
o ServiceNow Out-of-the-Box Spokes
o ServiceNow Integration Hub, RPA Hub
o API and Script based automation (APIs, batch jobs, orchestration scripts)
• Establish reference blue prints for design patterns, and reusable components
2. ServiceNow Automation
- Migrate legacy workflows into:
o ServiceNow-native automation using Integration Hub Spokes, AI Agents, External Content Connectors, Stream Connect, Zero Copy Connectors, RPA Hub.
o Script/API-based automation
o Hybrid automation patterns (ServiceNow orchestration + external execution)
• Ensure automation designs are scalable, secure, auditable, and supportable
• Reduce tool sprawl by consolidating automation into the strategic platform
3. Governance, Standards and Best Practices
- Define automation governance models, including:
o Design standards
o Reusability principles
o Exception handling and observability
o Security and compliance controls
• Establish decision frameworks for when to use:
o ServiceNow OOTB capabilities
o Integration Hub
o API/scripts
o Custom AI agents
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and ServiceOps strategy
4. Agile Delivery and Backlog Ownership
- Create and maintain a prioritized automation backlog aligned to business value
• Work closely with Product Owners and Architects to:
o Break down automation initiatives into iterative deliverables
o Enable incremental value realization
• Guide developers through iterative implementation, testing, and deployment
5. Team Leadership
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to:
o Automation engineers
o RPA developers
o ServiceNow developers
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architecture walkthroughs
• Build team capability in agentic automation, Python scripting, and ServiceNow automation
Required Technical Skills
ServiceNow Platform
- Experience with:
o ServiceNow Integration Hub
o RPA Hub
o Out-of-the-box ServiceNow agents
o Flow Designer and orchestration patterns
• Familiarity with ServiceNow as a strategic automation and ServiceOps platform
Programming and Automation
- API-based automation
o Batch processing
o Orchestration and control logic
• Experience designing or integrating agentic AI solutions
• Understanding of AI-driven decisioning vs rule-based automation
Desirable Skills
- Any RPA tool
• Knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, and ServiceOps/ITIL processes
• Familiarity with enterprise security and audit requirements for automation
Ways of Working
- Experience working in Agile / Scaled Agile delivery models
• Comfortable collaborating with:
o Product Owners
o Enterprise Architects
o Platform teams
o Business stakeholders
• Strong communication skills to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences
