    Job Description:


    As an SAP BODS Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions using SAP BODS.

    You will work closely with clients and project teams to understand business requirements, design data integration workflows, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet project objectives.

    The ideal candidate will have strong working experience in SAP BODS and proficiency in SQL.


    Key Responsibilities :

    Requirement Gathering and Analysis :

    • Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to gather data integration requirements, understand business processes, and define data integration objectives.
    • Conduct workshops and interviews to analyze source system data structures, business rules, and transformation requirements.
    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documents for SAP BODS development.

    SAP BODS Development :

    • Design and develop data integration jobs, workflows, and transformations using SAP BODS Designer.
    • Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to move data between source systems and target databases.
    • Configure and customize SAP BODS components, including datastores, data flows, transformations, and error handling mechanisms.

    SQL Development and Optimization :

    • Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data integration and transformation requirements.
    • Optimize SQL queries and database operations to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency of data processing.
    • Perform data profiling and analysis using SQL tools to understand data quality, completeness, and consistency.

    Integration and Automation :

    • Integrate SAP BODS with other SAP modules, applications, and data sources to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability.
    • Automate data integration processes using scheduling, monitoring, and error handling features of SAP BODS Management Console.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to deploy and configure SAP BODS servers, environments, and job execution schedules.

    Testing and Deployment :

    • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of SAP BODS jobs and workflows to ensure quality and reliability.
    • Collaborate with QA teams and business users to validate data integration results and verify compliance with business requirements.
    • Manage migration and deployment of SAP BODS artifacts across development, testing, and production environments.

    Qualifications :

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • 47 years of experience in SAP BODS development and implementation, with a focus on data integration and ETL processes.
    • Strong proficiency in SAP BODS Designer, Data Services Management Console, and Data Services Repository.
    • Extensive experience in SQL development, optimization, and performance tuning.
    • Knowledge of SAP data models, data structures, and SAP modules such as SAP ECC, SAP BW, or SAP S/4HANA.
    • Experience with SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, or other SAP data platforms is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data integration issues and recommend effective solutions.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams.
