    Primary Function of Position:
    The Systems Engineer will Manage the Linux Server and Desktop Infrastructure keeping it secure and available.

    This expert will be responsible for designing , building and supporting Linux and Storage infrastructure which hosts our Mission critical applications.

    This person is energized by challenges which require to perform root cause analysis, work with IT, and ensure the implementation in production.


    Roles and Responsibilities:


    Day-to-day cloud operations in dynamic on premises and AWS environmentsMaintain customer-facing, mission-critical 24/7 production servicesMonitor, optimize, and troubleshoot operating systems, networks and applicationsPerform regularly scheduled maintenance and upgrades, including instance patching and replacement.

    Provide infrastructure level support for Production, Development and QA environmentsDrive best practices for operational policies and procedures, including communication, change and incident managementParticipate in an on-call rotationBuild Infra structure for cloud-based applications with end to end automation using tools like terraform, Ansible etc.

    Write deployment scripts, debug application issues, and evaluate new technologies.
    Deliver 12x7 operations through a customer-focused approach including responding to production alerts.
    Implement system level and application performance monitoring metrics using various monitoring tools like Elastic search, Nagios, Icinga and Dynatrace.
    Documentation and review standards and operational procedures for cloud IF and enable team members to support Cloud Infrastructure.
    Qualifications


    Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree, requiredExpert Level knowledge and hands on experience for Linux (Redhat and Ubuntu)Minimum 5 years of experience with developing systems architecture for complex solutions years of technical experience with AWSMinimum 5 years of experience with architecture for SAN/NAS (Pure/Isilon/NetApp)Minimum 5 years of experience with Virtualization (VMware/Nutanix/KVM) and Backup Software (Commvault/Datadomain)Linux support (RHEL/RHEL related products – IDM/Satellite)Hardware install/break/fix/troubleshoot – Dell/ Cisco UCSGood grasp of fundamental security concepts with hands-on experience in implementing security controls and compliance requirementsExcellent working knowledge of AWS networking concepts, including the management and troubleshooting of VPC's, IP Address Ranges, Route Tables, Subnets, Elastic Load Balancers, Auto-scaling Groups, and Security GroupsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work well in a dynamic, collaborative team environmentWorking knowledge of risk management and standardsAdditional Information
