Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Procurement, Specialist in Substation Projects, based in Chennai. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement processes, including preparing and processing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, conducting supplier evaluations, and negotiating contracts. The role will involve analyzing data to make informed procurement decisions and ensuring the cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in raising and managing purchase orders for Substation Projects
- Skills in supplier evaluation and management
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and related activities
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate costs, report data, and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Enineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools is a plus
