    Description
    1. Responsible for ensuring that the architecture and design of the platform remains top-notch with respect to scalability, availability, reliability and maintainability
    2. Act as a key technical contributor as well as a hands-on contributing member of the team.
    3. Own end-to-end availability and performance of features, driving rapid product innovation while ensuring a reliable service.
    4. Working closely with the various stakeholders like Program Managers, Product Managers, Reliability and Continuity Engineering(RCE) team, QE team to estimate and execute features/tasks independently.
    5. Maintain and drive tech backlog execution for non-functional requirements of the platform required to keep the platform resilient
    6. Assist in release planning and prioritization based on technical feasibility and engineering constraints
    7. A zeal to continually find new ways to improve architecture, design and ensure timely delivery and high quality

    What are we looking for:

    1. Thorough understanding of highly distributed, low latency and high throughput systems
    2. 2+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Springboot working on consumer facing internet products
    3. Knowledge of globally distributed disaster-recovery enabled architectures
    4. Solid understanding of cloud engineering (AWS preferably)
    5. Expert knowledge of micro services stack and principles (12-factor app) and related network architectures
    6. Experience of the best practices or REST(SpringBoot, jHipster, Dropwizard) and non-REST (gRPC) communication
    7. Exceptional code reviewer and solid programmer )
    8. Exposure to multiple kinds of data storage and retrieval strategies - Relational, Non relational, Document, Grabh, Object, Timeseries databases
    9. Solid grip on CAP theorem, transactional consistency, distributed transactions, eventual consistency
    10. Knowledge of essential distributed design patterns for backpressure, bulkhead, circuit breaker, event sourcing, CQRS, event driven architecture
    11. Good knowledge of mid tier caching strategies
    12. Understanding of Containerization, Orchestration and Service mesh frameworks (Kubernetes, Mesos, , etc)
    13. Good understanding of the best practices of API design
    14. Champion of Engineering excellence - code reviews, unit tests, documentation of system design and architecture, etc
    15. Computer Science or equivalent engineering graduate from a reputed college
