    Job Summary

    /Objective

    Provide day-to-day support, guidance, coaching, and leadership to the assigned Business Information Systems (BIS) team. Responsible for the successful delivery of projects within a defined scope, time, and budget, ensuring adherence to quality standards and fulfillment of business objectives. Implements policies, processes, and procedures to align with organizational objectives and goals, focusing on enhancing application standards. Facilitates effective communication and collaboration with onshore teams, fostering a seamless exchange of knowledge on a daily basis.

    Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)

    1. Manages the local Business Information Systems (BIS) team, ensuring cohesion and synchronization with the onshore team's objectives.
    2. Drive the achievement of departmental goals and align towards common organizational objectives.
    3. Collaborate closely with the onshore BIS manager to establish strategic alignment between onshore and offshore teams.
    4. Ensure the successful execution of projects, emphasizing alignment with organizational and strategic priorities.
    5. Oversee day-to-day local BIS operations to guarantee smooth functioning and efficient workflow within the department.
    6. Ensure clear communication among operative teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
    7. Ensure appropriate project management methodologies are utilized to streamline selection, prioritization, and on-time, within-budget delivery of business initiatives, meeting stated objectives.
    8. Manages BIS resource requirements to ensure an appropriate balance between operational and project demands. Resolve resource conflicts to satisfy organizational priorities by reallocating and/or supplementing resources.
    9. Ensures successful outcomes of projects, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery within scope.
    10. Execute and drive comprehensive project plans, defining clear objectives, scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
    11. Responsible for implementing and enhancing processes in alignment with the goals and objectives of the BIS department.
    12. Monitors and evaluates performance and merit increases, provides ongoing coaching, and addresses and documents performance issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
    13. Manage and optimize resources within the offshore team, focusing on skills and tools to enhance overall team performance.
    14. Participates in the annual external financial audit of security and controls and risk assessment across the business systems. Participates in internal audits, as appropriate. Develops and implements action plans to address any gaps identified during the audit process.
    15. Participates in the development and annual testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure the plans are current and effective.
    16. Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members to create a high-performing team that supports current systems. Provides newly hired employees with the tools, training, resources, and information needed to be successful at OEC.
    17. Collaborate with the functional leader to optimize OEC human and financial resources. Monitor capital and operating budgets to identify opportunities for leveraging economies of scale and driving efficiencies.
    18. Manage overall operating costs, balancing business requirements and OEC financial targets.
    19. Develop and maintain a culture that promotes service excellence and employee empowerment to act in the best interest of department customers.
    20. Develop and maintain a total cost of ownership (TCO) for all new and replacement systems, securing business commitment to the one-time and ongoing costs and identifying budgetary implications in the current and future fiscal years.

    Education

    A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Business, Computer Technology, Information Management, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.

    Experience, Skills and Key Competencies

    At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in ERP/CRM systems within a large, complex, multi-location organization, a deep understanding of operations as well as industry standards, methodologies, processes, and best practices, prior success implementing and successfully managing a mission critical business systems environment with multiple stakeholders in a multi-entity, geographically diverse organization, and at least 1 year of experience leading teams, workgroups, committees or cross-functional projects.

    • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance good judgment with bottom-line business orientation to systems technology that supports return-on-investment decisions
    • Must be both strategic and tactical, with a willingness to get involved at a granular level as necessary
