    BPM Business Architect & Manager

    The Business Process Management and Process Mining Centre of Excellence is hosted by Global Business Services (GBS) and operates as a Shared Service providing Business Process Management and Process Mining capability across the Group.

    The main goal of this position is to develop and oversee regulated Business Architectures and Group capabilities in BPM to help simplify, standardize, and progress towards sustainable continuous improvement using the Enterprise Activity Model Tool.

    Responsibilities:

    • Establish a safety-focused culture within the Business Architecture & BPM CoE by implementing the Office Safety Framework and Code of Conduct.
    • Lead a diverse team, including direct and indirect staff, focused on enhancing BPM capabilities aimed at process standardization, simplification, and optimization.
    • Ensure all HR tasks are completed for the team.
    • Develop and support BPM subject matter expertise across the business, with a specific focus on the BPM CoE, Business Architecture governance, and BPM Community of Practice members.
    • Collaborate on the annual budget and oversee the Business Process Management CoE within the allocated budget.
    • Devise and execute the Business Architecture & BPM Strategy to establish a unified approach to managing processes throughout the organization via BPM methodology and platform.
    • Act as a promoter of Business Architecture models (EAM and EDM) and Business Process Management (BPM) within the organization.
      • Identify opportunities to advocate BPM within the Group to achieve widespread BPM implementation.
      • Respond to inquiries regarding BPM, the EAM & EDM.
      • Set priorities for the team's activities.
    • Lead the EAM and EAM governance process, managing structure, content, and changes in line with stakeholder requests.
    • Enhance the Governance model by integrating new members as necessary.
    • Conduct quarterly governance meetings covering agreed-upon agenda items.
    • Oversee EAM releases every six months or as required by changes.
    • Supervise the development and integration of other Business Architectures as determined.
    • Preside over design authority for EAM and EDM, ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements.
    • Establish Quality Assurance standards to maintain database integrity.
    • Support other key initiatives in the organization, such as Internal Control, IT Bills, and Simplification agenda.
    • Assist groups within the company in utilizing BPM methodologies & tools to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement sustainably.
    • Provide BPM consultancy, training, and coaching to foster BPM adoption as a systematic management approach.
    • Report progress to EAM governance on a monthly basis.
    • Support the delivery of BPM and process mining platforms and contribute to further development as needed.
    • Stay informed of Business Architecture & BPM best practices and developments to align with business priorities.

    Key Challenges:

    • Significant role due to the complexity of BPs Enterprise landscape, requiring consideration of the Group's current and future requirements.
    • Collaboration with various professionals within BP.
    • Engagement and communication with a wide range of users, from process operators to Group Leadership.

    Essential Education:

    • Candidate must hold a degree or similar educational background.

    Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

    • Experienced line manager adept at leading a diverse team with varying skill sets.
    • Extensive knowledge of BP or experience in global multinational or similar business environments.
    • Thorough training or certification in Business Process Management and Process Mining.
    • Experience managing enterprise-wide architectures.
    • Proficiency in Business English.
    • Passionate about driving continuous improvement in a professional or business context.
    • Demonstrated expertise in process management and reengineering.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for operating in diverse landscapes.
    • Strong influencing skills to achieve agreement across functional teams.
    • Systematic management orientation essential for adhering to architecture standards, conventions, and governance.

    Desirable Criteria:

    • Experience in Continuous Improvement or Quality Management.
    • Prior exposure to an operational setting utilizing BPM products.
