Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Middle School Geography Teacher at Nahar International School in Mumbai. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging geography lessons aligned with the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans and curriculum materials, creating an interactive and stimulating learning environment, and assessing students' progress through various evaluative methods. The role also entails fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in students, while promoting their social and emotional growth.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, particularly for middle school geography education.
- Strong teaching skills with a focus on engaging middle school students and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
- Excellent Communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
- Knowledge of Cambridge Assessment curriculum or International Baccalaureate (IB) framework considered an advantage.
- Master's degree in Geography, Education, or a related field; a teaching certification/licensure is preferred.
- Experience in teaching geography at the middle school level is an asset.
- Commitment to fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a passion for learning in students.
