Department you would be working with:

The department R&D IT provides IT Services enabling R&D engineers to do their engineering work. The design environment is an integrated solution and service of Design Infrastructure, EDA application landscape, Design Data Management and Product Creation Applications. The Global R&D IT services are delivered from small number locations, containing on-premise and public cloud Data Centers (full set of services). The objective of R&D IT is to ensure Business Success and Market Leadership for NXP by providing Best-in-Class R&D IT Services and R&D IT Solutions.

This is what you will do as Cloud DevOps storage engineer:

• Lead and oversee the design, implementation, and management of Netapp on premises as well as cloud storage solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of storage administrators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute filesystem as well as storage strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Architect and implement robust disaster recovery and backup solutions for cloud-based storage environments.
• Develop and enforce security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor and analyze storage usage, performance, and costs, implementing optimizations as needed.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud/on premises storage and lead resolution efforts in a timely manner.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in cloud storage, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Typically you:

• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
• Experience as DevOps engineer with strong automation skills for storage technologies in the AWS cloud as well as on premises.
• Minimum of Ten years of experience working as AWS cloud DevOps engineer with focus on storage technologies both on AWS cloud (Eg: S3, EBS, EFS, FSx flavors) as well as on premises (Eg: NetApp, Pure storage).
• In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, protocols, and file systems (eg: NAS, SAN, NFS, CIFS, object storage).
• Strong automation skills preferable using Ansible, Python as well as AWS CloudFormation.
• Extensive experience working with the Linux OS and NFS storage in a high-performance compute environment.
• Certification with AWS would be plus.
• Valuing the importance of working together with others in order to be successful as a team and as part of a larger organization.
• Solution-oriented, hands-on, and no "9-to-5 mentality". Customer-centric and no IT service provider mind set (SLAs, siloed).
• Experienced as a DevOps engineer with IT infra as code (IaC), configuration management tools & CICD.
• Experience with IT service management processes based on ITIL principles and in-depth knowledge of tools like Service Now. ITIL process responsibility.
• Has analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Quality mindset and strong stills in documenting process and keeping the documentation current and correct.
