    Description

    Software Developer - PDS 2.0 Project

    You will be part of an agile team developing services for the PDS 2.0 Project.

    • Design, implement and test new services using Java in the Quarkus framework.
    • Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality.
    • Drive world-class quality in development and support of products.
    • Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge.
    • Apply principles of SDLC, Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
    • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
    • Work on core data structures and algorithms, implementing them using technology chosen.
    • Share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering.
    • 6+ years Software Industry experience.
    • Strong Java programming skills (Java/Jakarta Enterprise Edition 8+).
    • Experience with Agile Development process, Kubernetes, container-based deployments, Cloud Native Architecture.
    • Familiarity with Quarkus Java framework, JAX-RS, Java Persistent API (JPA), Jackson JSON processor, XML, Kafka, GitHub/GitLab.
    • Ability to create Docker files, use Container technology, database schema changes using Liquibase, debugging developed code.

    Preferred Skills:

    • 5+ years developing microservices using Java Frameworks like Quarkus or SpringBoot.
    • Authentication/Authorization using Open ID Connect (OIDC) or Java Web Toolkit (JWT).
    • Effective remote working skills, self-starter ability, technical ownership, troubleshooting and communication skills.

    $80,000 - $120,000 per year
