    Description
    • Respond and attend to guest repair requests, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of maintenance issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
    • Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance problems in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including tasks like cleaning and lubrication to ensure all equipment operates efficiently.
    • Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines to detect any potential issues or wear and tear.
    • Carry and operate tools and equipment (e.g., tools, radios) and ensure proper handling and safety.
    • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings to ensure proper handling during emergencies.
    • Maintain a well-stocked maintenance inventory, requisitioning parts and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
    • Communicate daily activities and issues to the next shift using approved communication tools to maintain workflow continuity.
    • Demonstrate basic knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge in various systems and equipment, including:
    • Air conditioning and refrigeration
    • Electrical systems
    • Mechanical and plumbing systems
    • Pneumatic/electronic systems and controls
    • Carpentry and finish skills
    • Kitchen equipment maintenance
    • Vehicle repairs
    • Energy conservation methods
    • General building maintenance
    • Perform surface preparation, including painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb replacement, A/C filter replacement, and thorough clean-up of work areas.
    • Test, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment, such as plumbing (e.g., unclogging drains), electrical components (e.g., lamps, outlets, extension cords), guestroom items (e.g., vacuum cleaners, TVs), and internet devices.
    • Program TVs and assist with general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties as required.
    • Use Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure safety before performing maintenance tasks.
    • Repair landscaping and exterior sprinklers as part of general property upkeep.
    • Input data into computers for scheduling air handlers and making temperature adjustments as needed.

    Safety and Security Responsibilities:

    • Follow all company and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
    • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately and take appropriate action.
    • Complete safety training and certifications as required, and properly store flammable materials.
    • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are professional, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
    • Protect company assets and uphold high-quality maintenance standards.
