Job Overview

We are hiring an Accountant for our office in Ekkatuthangal, Chennai. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting and possess strong knowledge of GST, Tally, GST filing, TDS, and basic accounting principles. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com)
• Strong knowledge of GST, Tally, GST filing, TDS, and basic accounting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
• Prepare and maintain financial records, statements, and reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Handle GST filing and related tax matters
• Perform TDS calculations and prepare necessary documents
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and financial integrity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Provide support during audits and assist in resolving any financial discrepancies
• Stay updated with the latest accounting trends, regulations, and best practices
