    Responsibilities:

    Job Description:

    1. **Student Support Services**: Provide support services to students in need, including counseling, guidance, and referrals to appropriate resources.

    2. **Community Engagement**: Engage with students to understand their needs and concerns, and advocate on their behalf within the institution.

    3. **Crisis Intervention**: Respond to emergencies or crises affecting students, such as mental health crises, financial difficulties, or instances of discrimination or harassment.

    4. **Advocacy and Policy Development**: Advocate for policies and initiatives that promote student welfare and inclusivity within the institution. Work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and student groups to develop and implement policies that address the needs of diverse student populations.

    5. **Resource Referral**: Maintain a database of resources available to students, both within the institution and in the broader community. Provide information and referrals to students seeking assistance with academic, financial, or personal issues.

    6. **Educational Programming**: Develop and facilitate educational programs on topics related to student well-being, such as stress management, time management, mental health awareness, and diversity and inclusion.

    7. **Collaboration and Networking**:Build relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and social service agencies to expand resources available to students.

    8. **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of student interactions and services provided. Prepare reports on trends and issues affecting student welfare, and make recommendations for improvements based on data analysis.

    Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

    Experience working with college students in a counseling, advising, or support role.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students from diverse backgrounds.

    Knowledge of student development theory, crisis intervention techniques, and ethical guidelines for working with students.

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

    Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in a higher education setting.
