Description

The Junior Python Developer will be responsible for day-to-day technical project management and oversight of TransPerfect's proprietary tools, updating and maintaining code, and may be in daily and regular contact with internal clients including project managers and pharmacovigilance specialists who utilize the tools on a daily basis.

DESCRIPTION

• Write code to build web crawlers for our clients' selected local literature websites

• Write code to help maintain web crawler and other applications, address bugs, and work on new features

• Perform regular maintenance on crawlers to ensure optimal performance on all crawlers

• Maintain excellent records via Request Tracker, in line with Good Pharmacovigilance Practices (GVP) best practices, with a strong focus on Good Documentation Practice

• Assist Project Managers with all technical aspects of their day to day workflows, learn and become an expert-level user of all TPT technologies utilized for the local literature monitoring service including but not limited to:

o TPT crawler

o TLS Express

o Digital Reef

o Relativity

o Trial Interactive

• Grow existing client relationships through service and technology-led development

• Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Superior written and spoken communication skills in English

• Proficiency writing code in Python

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Aptitude to learn and excel in various technology mediums

• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality deliverables to client

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor's degree

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with web crawling/web scraping a/o browser automation methods and technologies (specifically Selenium and Requests)

• Proficiency with Git for version control

• Work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures

• Build relationships with clients and co-workers

• Can work independently and as part of a team

• Take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service
