Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for involved in the design, development, and implementation of PLC systems that enhance the performance and efficiency of equipment , functions and safety controls.

• Design, develop and Program (software) Microprocessor based PLC-based hardware and control systems, in conjunction with latest EN and other international standards applicable for Rolling Stock application, EQUIPMENT function will be preferred.
• Collaborate with integration and application engineers to deliver advanced EQUIPMENT control solutions.
• Provide technical support for EQUIPMENT PLC systems, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Develop and implement system test plans and validation procedures.
• Conduct system tests and validations to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all electronic systems and components meet applicable regulations and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system design and integration issues during development.
• Define hardware architecture and ensure design for safety, testability, and manufacturability.
• Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.
• Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.
• Suggest training tools to enhance employee performance and skill development.
• Manage customer relationships and perform RFP reviews, customer visits, and product testing.
• Establish and maintain testing procedures for new products.
• Oversee complex research projects, analyze results and provide recommendations based on findings.

• Proficiency in PLC & SCADA control systems
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming
• Experience with EQUIPMENT systems and understanding of temperature, humidity, and air quality control.
• Experience with networking and communication protocols related to EQUIPMENT control and Train Management systems: RS232, Ethernet/IP.
• Familiarity with electrical power units (EPU) and variants.
• Knowledge of design and engineering software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with electronic circuit prototyping and power electronics.
• Knowledge of wired & wireless network communication for remote EQUIPMENT monitoring.
