    The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.

    Looking for Hard Core Spark/Scala/Java/HDFS candidates. Strong academic record, ideally with a good degree in a mathematical or scientific background. This role is for a Data Engineering Lead to work on the Big Data Platform.

    The team is responsible for the maintenance and development of leading Big Data initiatives and use cases providing business value.

    The overall objective of this role is to develop Interfaces for downstream partner consumption.


    Responsibilities:


    Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.

    This role would open career opportunities for the successful individual to establish their profile in the Data Innovation and Architecture organization.

    It provides an opportunity in Institutional Client banking to work closely with the business to provide value add data solutions.

    Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprintUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementationDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goalsProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutionsServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessaryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

    Qualifications:6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role10+ years of experience in Hadoop/big data technologies.
    Experience with Spark/Storm/Kafka or equivalent streaming/batch processing and event based messaging.

    Relational and NoSQL database integration and data distribution principles experienceHands-on experience with the Hadoop eco-system (HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Impala, Spark, Kafka, Kudu, Solr)Experience with API development and use of JSON/XML/Hypermedia data formats.

    Strong development/automation skillsExperience with all aspects of DevOps (source control, continuous integration, deployments, etc.)5+ years of hands-on experience as a Scala developer (with previous Java background)Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applicationsExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications DevelopmentAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateDemonstrated leadership and project management skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience n Engineering/mathematical or scientific background.
