The Opportunity

You'll play a pivotal role in launching and leading this cutting-edge Data Science Accelerator. You'll design industry-aligned programs, recruit top-notch faculty, and ensure students receive the highest quality education to become the next generation of data science leaders.

Who You Are

• A seasoned data science expert with a Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven track record of academic leadership, curriculum development, and faculty management.
• Strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in data science education.
• Experience in research, teaching, and industry collaboration in the field of data science.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Curriculum Leadership: Collaborate with the Academic Advisory Committee and Marketing team to design and develop comprehensive, industry-aligned data science programs.
• Faculty Excellence: Lead faculty recruitment, selection, and development. Provide mentorship and support to enhance teaching effectiveness and academic performance.
• Quality Assurance: Establish robust mechanisms for quality assurance, implement assessment strategies, and ensure continuous improvement in academic delivery and student outcomes.
• Student Success: Foster a culture of student engagement, innovation, and career readiness. Develop initiatives to support student learning, retention, and job placement.
• Industry Collaboration: Build partnerships with industry leaders, employers, and professional organizations to create experiential learning opportunities, internships, and job placements for students. Organize industry events, guest lectures, and networking opportunities.
• Research & Innovation: Encourage research and innovation in data science education. Facilitate faculty research projects, interdisciplinary collaborations, and scholarly activities.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the academic budget in collaboration with the Finance department, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
