- Be a Technical SME for UNIX (RHEL), and associated technologies and automation.
- Work with lead solution and infrastructure architects to deliver quality, scalable and performant services
- Be responsible for rollout of operational toolkits and service monitoring solutions required by the role to enhance the ability to troubleshoot and ultimately prevent customer facing issues
- Deliver new and upgraded database services
- Deliver security enhancements and fixes as required Requirements
- UNIX (RHEL) certified desirable
- Knowledge of Websphere related products (WAS, Liberty, Portal) desirable
- End to end systems architecture knowledge, DevOps principles for efficient delivery
- Infrastructure design and architecture – collaboration with Solution Architect and Lead Developers
- Experience of delivering enterprise scale infrastructure to aggressive timescales and targets
- Planning multiple work streams, delegating and coordinating amongst colleagues
- Reporting to senior stakeholders
- Automating to increase efficiency and improve quality
