Market Research Analyst - Job Summary
As a Market Research Analyst, your role is to conduct in-depth market research to support the organisation's
business expansion initiatives. This involves analysing market trends, customer preferences, and competitive
dynamics to identify potential opportunities and target markets for growth. You will collaborate with
cross-functional teams to develop effective market entry strategies and ensure the company stays compliant with
regulatory requirements in the target markets. Your work will contribute to informed decision-making at the
strategic level and support the company's business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Opportunities Identification
● Conduct comprehensive research to identify key industry trends, emerging technologies, consumer
behaviour, and competitive dynamics.
● Gather insights into customer preferences through surveys, focus groups, and other data collection
methods.
● Understand and assess regulatory requirements in target markets to ensure compliance with local laws
and regulations.
Competitor Analysis
● Identify key competitors, assess their market positioning, and conduct SWOT analysis to evaluate
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
● Benchmark the company's performance against competitors to identify areas for improvement and
differentiation.
Development of Market Entry Strategies
● Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop market entry strategies, including market
segmentation, pricing analysis, and distribution channels.
● Conduct pricing analysis to determine competitive yet profitable pricing strategies for new markets.
● Evaluate various distribution channels to recommend the most effective approach for market
expansion.
Collaboration and Coordination
● Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and operations, to
align market expansion efforts.
● Collect, organize, and analyze data using tools like Excel, Tableau, or SQL, and create visualizations to
facilitate understanding and decision-making.
