    Summary:

    As part of the Regulatory Platform Technology organization, this role expects high standards of engineering excellence with a strong conceptual understanding in design, development, testing, and maintenance of large-scale systems that help Company satisfy the standards and policy requirements of regulatory agencies in countries where Company operates.

    Responsibilities:

    • Practice technical design, develop new functionality, and maintain existing components.
    • Design and implement highly available and scalable back-end software components in Java.
    • Conduct design and code reviews, fix bugs, and resolve production issues.
    • Isolate problems, perform root cause analysis, and report bugs.
    • Identify project risks and recommend actions to minimize risk levels.
    • Adhere to policies, standards, and frameworks (e.g., SDLC, Change Management, Risk & Security).
    • Guide the team on using Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
    • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel.
    • Support and educate the Product Owner, especially regarding grooming and maintaining the product backlog.

    Requirements:

    • At least 6 years of solid server-side development experience.
    • Proficiency in Java and back-end development utilizing Java EE technologies (Java, application servers, JPA, Spring MVC, Hibernate).
    • Experience working with relational databases.

    Required Skills:

    • Solid foundational knowledge of computer engineering and intellectual curiosity to understand the business.
    • Strong OOP skills and the ability to analyze requirements.
    • Passion for developing robust, scalable software systems.
    • Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
    • Highly motivated, goal-driven, with a can-do attitude to embrace challenges and changes.
    • Innovative, entrepreneurial, team player with the ability to multi-task.
    • Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, Unit Testing, and functional testing.
    • Effective communication skills and accountability.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience in AI/ML.
    • Experience with large-scale, distributed, high-performance systems.
