    KATHIWADA FOUNDATION

    Role:

    • Designation: Director/Head of Communications
    • Primary Role: Communications, Outreach, Fundraising, Donor Relations
    • Secondary Role: Administrative

    Reports to:

    • Trustees: Digvijay Kathiwada & Swati Kathiwada

    Status:

    • Permanent/Full-Time

    Location:

    • Lower Parel (Mumbai)
    • Travel for fundraising meetings, networking programs, CSR events and related matters to represent the foundation.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years working in marketing / outreach / communications for an NGO / Foundation in a lead representative role

    A. Primary Roles & Responsibilities

    1. Annual Report: Create a detailed annual report after collecting data from all the internal stakeholders
    2. Monthly Newsletter: Create a short monthly newsletter that informs our donors about the happenings of our foundation
    3. Weekly Content Creation: Consult internal stakeholders and create content worthy of uploading to our Website, , Instagram and other social platforms for greater visibility
    4. Daily Outreach: Daily outreach measures for fundraising efforts targeting individuals and corporates within the Trustees network and also producing new leads
    5. Presentations: To create presentations / prepare a deck in PPT or other formats from time to time as a fundraising tool
    6. Report Writing: To create reports in the desired format as required by an agency or corporate for the purpose of fundraising
    7. Application for Grants: To use the above data and apply for relevant grants be it online or in-person
    8. Donor Communication: To maintain timely communication between the foundation and its donors from time to time
    9. Press: Ability to create a press release and communicate with the press on a need basis.

    10. Strategy: To create an overall communication strategy along with the trustees for smooth dissemination of information all year round

    B. Secondary Roles & Responsibilities

    1. Administration: To ensure relevant paperwork is sent to donors as per their requirement by coordinating with the accounts team
    2. Partnerships: To create partnerships where desirable with other foundations who may be in a position to support or contribute to our on-ground efforts for ongoing projects
    3. Travel: To find and attend relevant conferences and events related to CSR and fundraising or similar
    4. Budgeting: To help the trustees format their budget for the upcoming year in coordination with the accounts team

    C. Qualification and Skills Required

    • To be passionate about the social/non-profit sector
    • Self-starter with an ownership driven mindset
    • English: Excellent written and verbal communication required
    • Hindi: Spoken / verbal communication will suffice
    • Swift with email, whatsapp and tele-communication
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Relations, Social or Development Economics, or any field related to communications
    • 5+ years of fundraising or related experience
    • Previous experience in sales or marketing is also acceptable
    • To be highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously, take initiative and make decisions with enthusiasm
