The New Initiatives Team

We operate as an internal innovation engine within JoVE, focused on building bold, high-leverage products that expand our offerings or unlock new use cases for our existing audience.

The Role

We are seeking talented individuals to join our team, who are passionate about zero-to-one product building, user-centric growth, and solving meaningful problems in education.

Responsibilities

As a member of the New Initiatives Team, you will:

Own and scale product growth initiatives, including acquisition, activation, retention, referral, and monetization.
Build and prioritize a roadmap of growth experiments, MVPs, and feature launches, aligned with business and user outcomes.
Work closely with internal stakeholders (content, sales, marketing, engineering) and external partners to identify and execute high-impact opportunities.
Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to validate ideas quickly.
Use qualitative and quantitative insights to deeply understand user needs and remove friction in their journey.
Contribute to building a repeatable, scalable growth engine across JoVE's product portfolio.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Bachelor's degree.
4+ years of product management experience, including growth-focused roles.
A proven track record of driving user and revenue growth through experimentation.
Fluency in A/B testing, funnels, retention metrics, and cohort analysis.
Familiarity with growth tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA) and comfort with data (e.g., SQL).
Demonstrated success in building 0-1 new products.
Results-driven, self-starter.
The ability to thrive in ambiguity and know how to bring clarity through structure and prioritization.
