    Job Summary:

    Under general direction, provide engineering skills to assist in providing innovative, detailed and cost-effective engineering solutions using Electrical Instrumentation Devices / Transducers, Data Acquisition systems, Power Systems (switchgears, VFD etc.), Control and Automation systems or any other electrical system including Induction Motors. Strong technical exposure to Hardware control panel design, transducer selection, Power and Signal Cabling & Interconnections and electrical schematics preparation is required.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Essentially responsible for designing, developing, upgrading and/or maintaining equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems
    • Review and select sensors and PLC or DAQ systems based on client requirements
    • Design system architecture including interfacing with SCADA, HMI
    • Perform design calculations for 3-Phase LV / MV power & instrumentation control, protection circuits
    • Provide requirements for PLC programming and testing
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on your own or by working with vendors from requirements through execution
    • Prepare test plan and perform system validation (remotely/in-person) at client site
    • Provide support in installation and commissioning of the system at client site/field location
    • Prepare, update and maintain necessary documentation and records
    • Prepare and update electrical schematic diagrams and/or drawings
    • Perform functional safety analysis and provide inputs such as safety shutdown sequence for programming
    • Work closely with colleagues across number of functions including operations, purchasing and design
    • Collaborate with vendors, follow-up on manufacturing/procurement and make timely decisions

    Academic Qualifications:

    Bachelor/Master of Engineering in Electrical or Electronics or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering from a premier Tier-2 college (Preferably NITs or Deemed University) in India

    Work Experience

    Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience

    Key skills:-

    Mandatory Skills:-

    • Hands-on experience in hardware design - Control Panels, Power panels, MCC, Instrumentation panels including component selection and architecture design
    • Excellent knowledge of Data acquisition systems
    • Excellent knowledge of sensors/transducers - pressure, temperature, level, torque, flow meter, RPM, control valves
    • Should have hands on experience working with facility power equipment's like MV/LV equipment like switch gear, feeders, UPS, drives, Transformers
    • Thorough understanding of SLD and electrical wiring drawing
    • Good knowledge of communication and networking (Modbus, CANbus, Data cards, Com ports, TCP/IP, etc.)
    • Good knowledge of motion control parts - Induction motors, servo drives, stepper drive, VFD
    • Good knowledge in Cable selection & Interconnections
    • Experience in testing and validation of instrumentation systems
    • Knowledge and experience in documentation – engineering product files, schematics (wiring, hook-up, SLD) and AutoCAD models
    • Good oral and written communication skills

    Recommended Skills:-

    • Knowledge and experience of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider etc.)
    • Experience in redesign/reverse engineering of legacy control panels
    • Awareness of ESD (Emergency Shutdown Systems)
    • Knowledge of functional safety engineering
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (RoHS, WEEE, CE)
    • PLC, HMI or SCADA Programming experience

    This is an office-based position, with the expectation to come in four days a week.
